Blau Orgàsmic at BETEVÉ!

Watch the tv report about all the upcycled projects from fishing nets made by IED Barcelona students

The Barcelona television channel, BETEVÉ, has made a TV report about the different projects that the students of IED Barcelona have design using discarded fishing nets in order to reduce the severe impact that abandoned fishing nets have on the marine ecosystem. Between these projects is Blau Orgàsmic, made by our Bussines Design student Iona Crasovan and that, along with four of the projects, have been submitted to the Catalunya Ecodisseny Awards 2017.

All these concepts were developed within a multidisciplinary project that put together students from different IED Barcelona schools to work on the same challenge: turn something that is threating the oceans into an opportunity to save them. The two lecturers coordinating the project were Markel Cormenzana, member of our school, and Francisco Tejada, from the School of Design.

Congratulations to all the students and lecturers involved!
